摘要:

In the first part of this talk, I will briefly introduce the concepts of nanomaterials (size and shape) and nanotechnology and the potential applications in various aspects of biomedicine that are extensively investigated in the current research. In the second part, I will talk about Cancer Nanotechnology, which has changed the scenario of cancer treatment in this new era. Many new nanotechnology and nanoparticles are proposed, and some have been used in the clinical trials and clinical treatment. In the third section, I will briefly introduce the research work in our group for the cancer treatment using nanotechnology. Our research targets both the short term and the long term therapies. For the short term therapy, we aim to slow down the multi-drug resistance using one nanoparticle to deliver two or more therapeutics and synergize the therapeutic effect. For the long term therapy, we combine nanotechnology with RNAi technology to improve the immunity by inhibiting the some particular checkpoint interactions (such as PD-1/PD-L1), enhancing the immune survey and activity.
